What we learned last week In phonics we focused on the letter Ss. We are practicing making the words am and Sam using these letters we have learned. In reading we practiced a reader's theater story. To do this we learn how to take turns reading different parts of the text out loud. We are practicing how to read the high frequency words that were sent home. Please keep practicing these! In math we continue to focus on counting accurately up to 20 and writing the number to match the quantity we counted. We are also working on using the words fewer and more as we compare groups of things and written numbers. Can your child show 6 to 10 fingers quickly without having to count them?
